Introduction To Nurture Their Nature

MY ELBERT: EVERYONE LEARNS BETTER EMBRACING REVOLUTIONARY TEACHING IS The first Specialized Online Coaching Curriculum.  I’ve spent the last 25 years perfecting an alternative, holistic approach to correcting learning differences, including, but not limited to, Dyslexia and Neurodevelopmental differences (view  the “why” behind  My Elbert below …view program HERE and Resume Here).

After twenty-five years of being in education, I provide tutoring, consulting, and coaching, for children and adults, on neurodiversity including  dyslexia and other neurodevelopmental differences. Over the last 15 years, I’ve observed an increasing amount  of affective,  behavioral, sensorial, cognitive, physical, mental, and spiritual  difficulties and differences due to learning with trauma along with an increased number of people being medicated, misdiagnosed, or going undiagnosed; Note, between 1998 and 2018, the number of people diagnosed with autism  has jumped by 787%. The rate of increase was greater for females, with  the greatest rise in adults being diagnosed with ASD. [Retrieved from].  Therefore, I have developed a neuropedagogy that includes my observations and evaluations that looks at the “whole person” using empirical science, my neurodivergent thinking, and (w)holistic wisdom. Where learning is concerned, the “whole person” is important because people are different and so many learn and think differently. My neuropedagogy allows neuroscience, psychology including Positive Psychology approaches, psychopathology, (w)holism, Evangelical theology, and education including Constructivist Theory and Montessori Philosophy to come into an authentic practice. It really looks at how we all process information differently in space and interconnected time; briefly, we are all wired with dissimilarity for which each neural pathway is connected differently to process the same information that we all can receive. My current practice is a holistic approach to discovery of inner-being, spiritual-growth, and aims to learn how to stimulate new zones of the brain, and increase self-directed neuroplasticity, and atonement to create connections (neuropathways) for learning to be successful and enjoyable. Furthermore, it is targeted at naturally stimulating the brains of all types of learners, not only those with students who have learning disabilities.

The Problem: We are seeing children/adults digress with gulf-sized disconnect and low self-esteem. Each child/adult is multidimensional and ALL our systems and senses need to function equalized, activated, and balanced for learning to take place. The triune brain which is the neomammalian complex (RAS- aka neocortex), midbrain (pons- aka limbic system), and forebrain (thymus aka reptilian) is working on a downward function, which makes learning and thinking chaotic in the mind. People are using their mental and emotional bodies to learn, not their etherical body (etheric).

The Solution: When using the etherical body, ALL our faculties, systems, and senses will function equalized, activated, and balanced. The triune brain needs to be working in an upward function (no longer perform in a protective function). With a functional upward system, the child [or adult] can trust themselves and their gifts and learning uniquenesses through spiritual mindset with self-directed neuroplasticity through ABC’s and atonement meaning God awareness (eventually unity) through PYAM Daily. They’re offered the freedom arising from conditions within the brain, senses, or sense organs and not directly caused not by external stimuli but the knowing with-in themselves which is patience for understanding and trusting in their subjective, divergent mind. 

What is a Subjective Mind? Subjective  mind, which wants to comprehend the world by self-realization, consciousness and is open to different interpretations of same objects viewed through different lenses. [Retrieved from].

Note: The cerebral cortex is thought to be the seat of conscious  processing in the brain. Rather than being inactivated, specific cells  in the cortex show higher spontaneous activity during general anesthesia  than when awake, and this activity is synchronized across those  cortical cells.  [Retrieved from]. What  Is Conscience? Billy Graham’s Daily Devotion, Nov 09, 2021 Having a good conscience . . .  –1 Peter 3:16  God has put within each one of us something that  cries aloud against us, whenever we do that which we know to be wrong.  Conscience is the detective that watches the direction of our steps and  decries every conscious transgression. Conscience is the built-in power of our minds to pass moral judgments  on ourselves, approving or disapproving  our feelings, actions, thoughts, and  plans, and telling us, if what we have done is assessed as wrong, that  we deserve to suffer for it. Conscience has in it two elements:  an  awareness of certain things as being right or wrong, and an ability to  apply laws and rules to specific situations. Conscience insists on  judging us, and insist on judging us by the highest standard we know.   So we sometimes call it God’s voice in the soul, and in a sense it is. [Retrieved from].

 What is Conscience/Righteousness- Intellectual-Moral aka “The Simple” (Strong IQ- Rewarded Pure Heart)? The moral feeling, by which we mean a sense of the difference between  right and wrong, would seem to be a part of the native furnishing of the  mind.  Conscience is a vigilant eye  before which each imagination, thought, and act, is held up for either  censure or approval. I believe there is no greater argument for the  existence of God in the world today than conscience. There is no greater  proof of the existence of a moral law and Lawgiver in the universe than  this little light of the soul. What is Self-Realization/Blamelessness- Imaginative-Moral aka “The Simple” (Strong EQ- Rewarded Clean Mind)?  How can we achieve this state of Being for ourselves? Self  Realization is a term that is becoming increasingly more widely used.   In many ways it is an obscure term, and its meaning is not immediately  apparent.  For many it is a term that means the same as ‘Enlightenment’ –  a word which is similarly something difficult to determine.  However,  the term ‘Self Realization’ is more useful as it actually refers to a  very specific stage in the journey of awakening that Ramana Maharshi and  others described. Yes, I do believe the disconnect for students, families, and schools. It’s in the domain of Spiritual Development…

The disconnect happens in these domains: (intellectual)- what is right, (moral)-what is good, and (imaginative)-what is best; to do well (uprightly): behavior and emotion with the discernment of His Divine Will for us in justice, design, plan, and purpose for yourself and meekness towards others which brings gladness, humility, uprightness, righteousness, wisdom! Affirmation (Blessing of Thanksgiving, heart):  Do not be conformed to this world ([modern],this age) [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable [right, moral] and perfect Will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. According to Erik Erikson,  during the first years of school, every child must resolve the  conflicts between a positive self-image and feelings of inferiority. If  children succeed in school, they will develop positive feelings about  themselves and believe that they can succeed in life [Retrieved from].

I help those who are seemingly week or weary due to neurodifference

I have observed so many becoming weary with a neurodiversity, by living in strife of regret or dread…

Where failures have turned to vanity to overcome them….

Even I observed those in despair such as hatred, deceit, grief, and guilt…

They question “why” the learning, thinking, and other differences “had to happen” to them…

So many of us, who have a neurodiversity, need to recognize anger and/or need to overcome shame due to suppressive anger…

The superego is the ethical component of the personality and provides the moral standards by which the ego operates. The superego has been called the inner critic,[6] judge,[7] the voice of judgment,[8] or the accuser. The superego’s criticisms, prohibitions, and inhibitions form a  person’s conscience, and its positive aspirations and ideals represent  one’s idealized self-image, or “ego ideal [9].” Mental constructs are judged by the superego as these  constructs include intelligence, motivation, anxiety, justice, pleasure, happiness, and health are all constructs, as well as, fear [10] aka “darkness”.   In psychology, a construct is a skill,  attribute, or ability that is based on one or more established theories.  Constructs exist in the human brain and are not directly observable [Retrieved from;]. Like my  friend, Al Rosenblum wrote, The New Testament ideal is a conscience free from guilt and  able to guide us in  a holy direction.  The conscience can only be freed  from guilt by the power of Christ’s blood.  Once freed and protected in  its freedom by the gift of justification, the conscience is able to  grow through the teaching of Scripture and the means of grace in  Christian life…

God made us with an empty place in our hearts that only He can fill. He  fills the spiritual need, enabling us to operate lovingly and effectively  in our human relationships. The empty place causes us to have  hunger/thirst for love, affection, appreciation, etc.. We use our   to attach to people and things in our world that we believe will fill  our emptiness. Before salvation which happens in a microsecond of time, when we believe the gospel (death, burial, resurrection of Jesus to  resolve our sin debt with God-Father), we are disconnected from God and  can only attach our hunger & faith to people & earthly things of  the world. We attach our hearts to the things of this life and build a  false belief system around the idea that the love of people and possessions  (instead of  God) can make us happy (a lie.)

Mr. Rosenblum also stated, we build our entire belief system on lies that we pick up out of the world (this statement  requires considerable explanation). All that we learn & believe that  builds our thinking system before we are saved is devoid of God as the center & purpose and without the Holy Spirit to reveal the divine truths to us. After we are saved we use the same system to learn the same divine ideas that Jesus used in His earthly life so that we can use them too, becoming like Him as “The Light” from the inside-outside (horizontal) not just outside-inside (vertical). AGAIN, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart (energy-happiness-thymus) , and with all thy soul (ARAS (thalamus) -including: thymus, pons, ras-bliss)), and with all thy mind (power-joy-pons) and strength (body-delight-ras) [UPWARD FUNCTIONAL SYSTEM– Note: *ARAS- whole-self- our content, upon His pleasure- Thymus, Pons, RAS (HPA & ACC)/GUT].  Mathew 22:37-39

Actually, we have all harbored anger and shame in our high heart-mind where edification is then almost impossible [not for God]. Without discernment from God, I think we are constantly experiencing disparagement and actually seeking approval from people-in our own will, we’re judging our expectations (wishes, dreams) for ourselves as wrong/bad; when really, we need abide In Him by knowing we are doing our best (to do well (uprightly) and made perfectly in His image (wired perfectly) in behavior, thoughts, feelings, and emotion with whatever the level we are on. Discernment of God’s perception-middle or flow of  “what’s best”

  …What is neurodiversity

People  with dyslexia and other forms of neurodiversity have sound and language  processing problems. They will struggle to connect letters to sounds  and, mainly difficulties identifying speech sounds and learning how they  relate to letters and words; as well, those with visual processing  difficulties struggle to understand visual information such as letters,  shapes, or objects and problems processing the graphic symbols (mainly,  problems with convergence). Other difficulties related to the absorption  and processing of sounds [sounds especially can be omitted from words  by the student], students with dyslexia most commonly omit letter  sounds, words, phrases in the middle position, then the end, and least  commonly the beginning. When they omit, they might do sound confusions  such as repetition(s), substitution(s), addition(s) or delete  altogether, on the other hand; transversal(s) and reversal(s) are more  common in students with a visual processing difficulties. P.S. I suggest  -have them remember: if it doesn’t look or sound right reread or  rewrite till your “brain feels better” [trust your  brain-you are smart, you can do it, and you are love]. What is neurodivergency…

 I  consult to help others discover their own/someone else’s  learning uniquenesses, interest, and how to use their gifts and  strengths. Those with a neurodifference usually have a neurodivergency;  meaning, they often have intuitive and insightful, well-developed social  awareness and emotions while possessing a lexicon of words to help with  the synonymous “why’s of dyslexia”. They also have deep and holistic,  list-form type thinking including: problem-solving and  building/constructing abilities, competitive drive, computer skills, and  gaming strategies. They seek their own endeavors of creative,  imaginative, visual, artistic, and visionary skills while taking on  inventing and innovating pursuits. I can also tell you that they may  excel at thinking of “outside the box” solutions, seeing a problem from  many sides, and patterns/spatial relationships along with the ability to  think in 3 dimensions-using our strong evaluation skills and  imagination (capable of observing patterns of: color, shape, size, dimension, rhythm, meter, tone, and chant). They have an innate ability  for caring for people, animals, and nature [Note: sometimes due to  circumstances they go against their own nature in this respect]. Lastly,  I prepare students with unique learning and neurodifferences to connect  to the world with enrichment classes through my program MY ELBERT.

…What is neruopedagogy

My current practice is a holistic, alternative approach to  being and aims to learn how to stimulate new zones of the brain, and  increase self-directed neuroplasticity, and create connections  (neuropathways) for learning to be successful. Furthermore, it is  targeted at naturally stimulating the brains of all types of learners,  not only those with students who have learning differences. You need to  know that my neuropedagogy is based on the following: my own inductive reasoning, logic of evaluation, outside-of-the box, type problem-solving  skills, detective sense contributed to my own gift of neurodivergency, gift of knowledge,  and wisdom (discernment), countless hours of student observations (Montessori), (w)holism, neuroscientific, neuropsychology, educational  research (Orton-Gillingham and “Science of Reading”), and spiritual/religious studies (Nouthetic Counseling) along  with my perpetual care for the “whole person”. We can identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause emotional turmoil;  seek to improve communication and coping skills; strengthen self-esteem,  and connection (unity) with God; and promote behavior change and optimal mental health and wellness

My neuropedagogy also includes a theory called “prudential personalism”.  The theory is called “personalism” because the goal or purpose is the  flourishing of the human person; since the human person is clearly one  thing or set of things and one set of needs rather than another, it  provides an objective norm that rescues it from total subjectivism. The fact that personalism has a supernatural dimension is the reason why  excellent spiritual care is essential, and why we are not obliged to  use every means possible to preserve physical life. We are created to  “know, love and serve God in this world, and to be happy with Him in the next.”* The  theory is “prudential” because, unlike a deontological system, it  maximizes human freedom and creativity (wisely real), allowing diverse paths to the  same goal or purpose, depending on circumstances. Because they focus on  obedience and conformity of the will; unlike, deontological ethics which often results  in an impoverished view of the human person, one in which the person  lacks autonomy and self-determination and has but a limited ability to  integrate grace in the form of perduring moral qualities, or virtues. Note: [In regards to education], prudential personalism is based on a solid and evolving understanding of  the human person, and it draws on the full range of human  decision-making capacity. Where autonomy, attunement and adaptability are a must for others to flurish; As well, celebrating a life of prayer, study, and constant striving to be open to the spirit of Christ. This Christocentric principle advocates that we interpret all scripture in the light of the full and final revelation of God in Christ. Since Jesus Christ was God incarnate, the nature, will, and purposes of God most clearly seen through his words and works truth. The weary need discernment upon their ego state…

Psyche would be the ego conditioned individual’ “mind’ wherein knowing “their being”; meaning what one is as a person and why here on earth through ontological training from family, culture, religion, education etc. which that” …is an ego states- they are an adaptation to various life circumstances, rather than innate states of being. Sometimes a person becomes stuck in an ego state, or finds that an ego state is no longer beneficial. A child abuse victim, for example, might get stuck in the role of frightened child.

Definition of discernment. 1 : the quality of being able to grasp and comprehend what is obscure [such as “one’s life purpose”, “reason for being”, ‘threatening life circumstances’]; as well, a skill in discerning. 2 : an act of perceiving or discerning something.  Note: Through Saving Faith Receive Discernment which includes discipline training; Saving Faith is the knowledge of, trust in, and commitment to Jesus Christ that is required for salvation:

            To know wisdom and disciplined training;

      to understand words of discernment;

            To receive disciplined training in prudence,

      right living, judgment and uprightness.

Discernment   is best understood as a “habit of mind and practice” to better  understand what our health care mission requires of us in response to  the particular challenges and opportunities that emerge in the course of  organizational life. Discernment can enhance a decision-making lens, tool or process by constantly inviting those  who discern into a deeper, broader and more reflective relationship to  the evidence gathered, the people engaged in the process and the good  that is imagined. What is discernment  meekness? (Divine Love)

 Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and  humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and  refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. [Jer.  6:16.] Matthew 11:29 AMPC  Lowliness of heart and mind  are indispensable in our approach to our Heavenly Father and our hope of  receiving revelation and sanctification. “Let nothing be done  through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves” (Philippians 2:3). AND [Jesus] said to His disciples, Temptations (snares, traps set to  entice to sin) are sure to come, but woe to him by or through whom they  come! I feel the best way to support those with Neurodevelopmental disorders or Neurodiversity especially in later onset…

I find the best support includes  understanding the impact that a negative social environment, aka  learning with trauma, has on those who have a neurodiversity, or as I  prefer to say “neurodifferent”. My program, My Elbert, was developed to  help those who feel weak and weary due to being neurodifferent including  those working with them. Mainly, I help others to succeed and employ a  positive attitude towards learning and learning environment. Instead of  allowing shame and anger to overwhelm the learner, I focus on bringing  in positive emotions and teaching methods for instance observing when  they are needing calm delight. As well, help the learner with their  learning difference and change their brain with self-directed neuroplasticity [flexibility] and atonement [adaptability]- The meaning of the word is simply at-one-ment, i.e., the state of being at one or being reconciled, so that atonement is reconciliation. I support students (children-adults) with mixed: My Elbert enrichment along with literacy  intervention, and tutoring online classes. According to Mark Briscoe, Jesus experienced anger and grief. His anger was a righteous anger for  it had selfless reasons.  He experienced grief when Lazarus died but  not for Lazarus but for the people who loved Lazarus. He knew he would  raise Lazarus. God’s perception along with Our Will (us)- what is “perfect” perception, the senses- aka “the true Mind” and doing ‘what’s best’

Any number of patterns of rhythmic electric impulses are produced in  different parts of the brain. There are four types of typical brain  waves: alpha, beta, theta, and delta.  These are similar and relatively stable in all normal individuals.  Brain waves help in the diagnosis of certain neurologic disorders,  including brain lesions and the likelihood of having a seizure. Slow Perception/Conception- Alpha RAS, Thymus (12.72 Hz) Plus Gamma PONS (m- 35.36 Hz, f- 30.72 Hz)=  which is high range of alpha and low range of gamma are ideal for learning under stress or trauma. 

Ideally, Biaural Beats, (anger-strength) males-left wave 48.08 Hz, (shame-empathy) females-right wave 43.44 Hz (528 Hz, for 10 min, 3 times a day, drink lots of water,  ideally all with bible study daily). 

 I hypothesize that rather than participating in the temporal binding  of sensory events as seen in the cortex (beta waves), increase the gamma band activity  in the PONS-Thymus which tends to be manifested  in the “shut down”,  I propose ARAS (thalamus including: Thymus, Pons, RAS (HPA & ACC)/GUT) may help  stabilize coherence related to arousal, providing a  stable activation  state during waking and paradoxical sleep. Most of our  thoughts and  actions are driven by pre-conscious processes. Gamma brain  waves have the highest frequency among all brain waves. They are  associated with high levels of thought and focus. They can have  different effects depending on their levels in your brain:

  • If  your brain produces high levels of gamma waves, you tend to be happier  and more receptive. You may also have a higher intelligence quotient or IQ and better concentration.
  • If  your brain produces low levels of gamma waves, you may develop learning  and memory problems. You may experience lower concentration, attention  span, and mental ability. Lower levels of gamma waves can even lead to learning disabilities and mental disorders.

Mitochondria are  compartmentalized, dual-membrane organelles that are responsible for  most energy production in the cell. Mitochondria contain their own DNA  and ribosomes (RNA).  Their primary function is to convert energy from glucose into ATP via oxidative phosphorylation. Mitochondria also play an  important role in the cellular stress response through processes such as  autophagy, apoptosis, and hypoxia. Mitochondria have been increasing recognized as important players in the  aging process. Most aging related diseases and particularly  neurodegenerative diseases have mitochondrial involvement. Co-activation- brings the neurons to activation and stimulation of mitochondrial production within the cells which  helps build more efficient, proactive neuronal networks and plasticity.  Mitochondria are the principal synergetic energy generators of cells, and neurons are cells that require a lot of energy. People with depression have fewer mitochondria in their neurons and people with untreated depression have lower levels of protein produced by mitochondria. A characteristic of diseases such as Alzheimer’s and  Parkinson’s—collectively known as neurodegenerative diseases—is the  build-up of misfolded proteins. These proteins, such as amyloid and tau  in Alzheimer’s disease, form ‘aggregates’ that can cause irreversible  damage to nerve cells in the brain. Protein folding is a normal  process in the body, and in healthy individuals, cells carry out a form  of quality control to ensure that proteins are correctly folded and that  misfolded proteins are destroyed. But in neurodegenerative diseases,  this system becomes impaired, with potentially devastating consequences. As  the global population ages, an increasing number of people are being  diagnosed with dementia, making the search for effective drugs ever more  urgent. Self-directed neuroplasticity and atonement, then, is the ability for the brain to change itself depending on how you direct your thoughts and attention. Disposition of Genetic Proponents-Genetic Etiology

In broad terms, the findings showed “significant genetic  overlap” between anxiety and conditions including PTSD and depression  that frequently co-occur with anxiety. This fact, the researchers said,  “provides biological evidence that this known clinical comorbidity is  due at least in part to shared genetic etiology [causation].” The team  found strong positive correlations genetically between participants with  recent anxiety symptoms and depressive symptoms and/or neuroticism.

A multidisciplinary team at the University of Illinois  Urbana-Champaign has devised a new approach to 3D imaging that captures  DNA methylation, a key epigenetic change associated with learning in the  brain.

This study reports an overlap between genetic architecture and co-morbid mental health diagnosis. Researchers found 70% of the genetic signals associated with schizophrenia were also linked to bipolar disorder. Anorexia and OCD have a strong, shared genetic architecture. Three Potential Mechanisms of Transcranial Photobiomodulation (tPBM):

First, by direct stimulation, where photobiomodulation is applied directly on the distressed neurons themselves, activates mitochondrial function that then increases both adenosine triphosphate energy and the expression of stimulatory and/or protective genes.

Second, by indirect stimulation, where photobiomodulation triggers recruitment of a “middle man”, such as cells of the immune and/or stem cell systems. These activated cells may swarm to the region of distressed neurons and helps them survive and function, by potentially increasing the expression of anti-inflammatory cytokines while decreasing the pro-inflammatory ones.

Third, rather than acting on the distressed neurons through either a direct or indirect stimulation as described above, photobiomodulation may act on other brain regions, for example motor cortex, that then stimulate the neural networks that underpin the behavioural improvements. A very important study shows acute stress as a result of childhood maltreatment to accelerated early maturation of the immune system. Acute  psychosocial stress states stimulate the secretion of an antibody type  protein that is decisive in the first immune defense against infection,  but only after puberty. However, children with a history of maltreatment  present a similar response to that of adolescents, which suggests there  is an early maturation of the immune system in these cases. An autoimmune disease is a condition that affects your hormones and immune system which mistakenly attacks your body.  The immune system normally guards against germs like bacteria and  viruses. When it senses these foreign invaders, it sends out an army of  fighter cells to attack them. There are more than 100 autoimmune diseases,  including conditions such as celiac disease, type 1 diabetes, and  psoriasis. Where is the vitamin D receptor?

In humans, the vitamin D receptor is encoded by the VDR gene located on chromosome 12q13. 11.  Like the iNKT cells, there are also fewer CD8αα/TCRαβ precursors in the thymus of VDR-KO animals. Moreover, to complete development CD8αα/TCRαβ  cells must travel from the thymus to the gastrointestinal tract where  IL-15 induces proliferation and upregulation of CD8αα. Due to decreased  levels of IL-15 receptor expression VDR-KO CD8αα/TCRαβ cells proliferate  poorly, resulting in a diminished mature CD8αα/TCRαβ population in the  VDR-KO gut (Yu et al., 2008; Bruce and Cantorna, 2011; Ooi et al., 2012).  These data illustrate that in contrast to conventional T cells, VDR  expression is mandatory for development of both iNKT cells and  CD8αα/TCRαβ T cells. Bones provide both skeletal scaffolding and space for hematopoiesis in  its marrow. Previous work has shown that these functions were tightly  regulated by the nervous system. Similarly,  early last year, researchers from institutes in Germany and Greece  reported a mechanism in the brain’s outer cortical cells that produces a  novel ‘graded’ signal all on its own, one that could provide individual  neurons with another way to carry out their logical functions. By  measuring the electrical activity in sections of tissue removed during  surgery on epileptic patients and analyzing their structure using  fluorescent microscopy, the neurologists found individual cells in the  cortex used not just the usual sodium ions to ‘fire’, but calcium as  well. Hyponatremia is not only the most common electrolyte disorder but is also associated with higher infection rate [1], cardiovascular disease [2, 3], and mortality risk [4, 5]. Central nervous system (CNS) symptoms are the main manifestations of hyponatremia [6]. Think about how  dementia cause an electrolyte imbalance? Residents who have very advanced dementia may also develop electrolyte  imbalance because their brain no longer reminds their body to drink or  accept fluids when offered to them. How is an electrolyte imbalance diagnosed? Electrolyte imbalance is usually diagnosed by blood tests. Does level(s) affect dementia? Several studies reported that chronic hyponatremia resulted in mild cognition impairment (MCI) [7, 8], which in turn was associated with increased risk of progression to dementia [9] or death [10]. Similarly, think about manganese and neurodegenerative diseases. Manganese [Mn] is an essential ubiquitous trace element required for normal growth, development and cellular homeostasis [1].  Specifically, Mn is important in bone formation, fat and carbohydrate  metabolism, blood sugar regulation, and calcium absorption. A growing body of evidence suggests that chronic anger can take a daily toll  on your cardiovascular health and immune system. Letting go of the  bitterness you feel toward another person can lower your anxiety, which directly impacts both your mental and physical health. Engagement is Heterarchical

 Researchers have identified gene expression signatures common to  sensory processing that facilitates the brain’s interpretation of  sensory input. Sight,  touch and hearing are our windows to the world: these sensory channels  send a constant flow of information to the brain, which acts to sort out  and integrate these signals, allowing us to perceive the world and  interact with our environment. Recognition is Heterarchical: The “New Man”- Perceives as God Does (Living Faith- Seeing, Hearing & Understanding By Faith)

We have seen that individual aspects of patterns, such as their color, shape, orientation, or motion, are processed by separate parts of recognition networks.  And  these  specialized  processes  proceed  in  parallel.  But  they  do  not  proceed  independently.  Like affective systems,  recognition  systems  are  intensely  interconnected  and  heterarchical.  The  naïve  assumption  is  that  recognition  is  primarily  a  “bottom-up”  process.  In  this  view,  visual  sensory  information  enters  the  nervous  system  at  the  retina  (the  bottom)  and  then  travels  up  through  an  increasingly  complex  hierarchical  network,  eventually  reaching  the  visual cortex where  patterns  in  the  visual  information  are  recognized  (the  top).

But as we saw in the Adelson illusion, recognition is very much a “top-down” process. Our brains don’t just passively receive information in that bottom-up way. The “gray matter” of the brain is densely packed with nerve cell bodies  and is responsible for the brain’s higher functions, such as thinking,  computing, and decision-making.  But gray matter is only half of the brain matter inside our heads — the  other half of brain volume is called . It has long been  established that stress-related illnesses, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)   trigger changes in brain structure, including differences in the  volume  of gray matter versus white matter, as well as the size and   connectivity of the amygdala. However, researchers are just beginning to  understand exactly how chronic stress creates long-lasting changes in   brain structure, which affect how the brain functions. “We studied only  one part of the brain, the hippocampus, but our  findings could provide  insight into how white matter is changing in  conditions such as schizophrenia, autism, depression, suicide, ADHD, and PTSD,” Kaufer said. In adolescence and adulthood, inhibitory control  stems from a group of brain regions called the cognitive control  network, but how the ability develops in young children is not well  known. Berger et al. examined the maturation of brain regions in  3- and 4-year-old children using MRI and compared it with their  inhibitory control abilities. The 4-year-olds performed better at both tasks than the 3-year-olds.  Children with better inhibitory control had larger brain regions and  stronger white matter connections in the cognitive control network. The ‘theory of mind”  is the degree of capacity for empathy and strength; as well as our understanding of ourselves and others have a mind, too. Where the mind is located has been a continuous debate- I propose that the mind at least begin in our very own thymus. The thymus in Greek root–thymos–the middle region between reason (intelligence) and desire (imagination). The thymus is the center of both our higher and lower self. It is the epicenter of a vagus nerve highway including the interchanges from our gut-brain axis, to our Pons, RAS including CAN: ACC and HPA (both housed with-in the brain) which all control every system, sense, and function; basically, every aspect of the human being. The ” ” is an eon- a miniature particle-spherical body made up of God’s Image (That can multiply, grow, expand- as in constant connection and flow through Christ, by means of coming-into His pleasure, which is our content:  the ARAS- Thymus, Pons, RAS (HPA & ACC)/GUT DESPAIR of having anger and shame (worry & fear of the SUPEREGO (Idolatry, Sloth… Woe To Meekness & Justice,aka SUPEREGO  -God’s conscious (nous)). It’s the ultimate “energy” center that create an authority of the self-body seeking out love, peace, and justice. It makes up our EM field- discipleship and determines or desires and higher purpose as it’s “the soul” in commune with one’s spirit. The thymus aka “leb” can be overtaken by love or fear, worry – it’s where our consciousness and super consciousness  (ARAS- chakras 12+ consciousness and subconscious conjoin in unity) begins and ends. It is often paraphrased as “mind,”  since it does have an intellectual component (cf. the usual, if  unfortunate, translation of the “listening heart” of Solomon in 1Ki 3:9 as “understanding mind”). But it is also the basic orientation of a person, embracing desires, emotions, and attitude.

The attitude depends on the student finding motivation and meaning for their learning. One’s attitude for learning makes for a make or break type learning. -Tricia Cook

In the field of child-psychology, “Every attitude has three components that are represented in what is called the ABC model of attitudes: A for affective, B for behavioral, and C for cognitive. Although every attitude has these three components, any particular attitude can be based on one component more than another ( 2020).” The naming of the word attitude as it relates to students learning can give someone a negative perception; parents ask me all the time, “can you help me with my child’s attitude”. The attitude one has for learning makes for a make or break type learning. I observe kids all the time with Responsive System Dysfunction (RSD) which means it is hard to find meaning and motivation for learning. When your child is learning under stress, fear, and having RDS, they are learning from their mental or emotional bodies, primarily with a (anger) Sympathetic Functional System which is a hyper-processing dysfunction and (shame)  Parasympathetic Functional System Dysfunction which is a hypo-processing dysfunction or both anger/shame which is a Total Functional Dominance System (TFD) which is a varied hyper-, hypo- dysfunction of the RAS (Rectangular Activation System). This hyper-, hypo- and varied dominance affects the “whole child”.

When a child with neurodifferences is learning something new or  stressful, if mindset is perceived with anger (SFD-sympathetic functional dominance), we can observe  lessened neuroplasticity of the midbrain (right lobe) and constant speed  shifting (accelerated or and varied) of the prefrontal cortex, frontal  lobe along with midbrain (left lobe) and emotional disorders with  long-term memory problems. According to Mark Briscoe, Jesus experienced anger and grief. His anger was a righteous anger for  it had selfless reasons.  He experience grief when Lazarus died but  not for Lazarus but for the people who loved Lazarus. He knew he would  raise Lazarus. But looking at the people who wept he was grieved. And  you find the shortest verse in the Bible. “Jesus wept.”  He didnt feel shame or guilt for they imply He would have sinned. 

Conscience is the built-in power of our minds to pass moral judgments  on ourselves, approving or disapproving  our feelings, actions, thoughts, and  plans, and telling us, if what we have done is assessed as wrong, that  we deserve to suffer for it. Conscience has in it two elements:  an  awareness of certain things as being right or wrong, and an ability to  apply laws and rules to specific situations.  Conscience insists on  judging us, and insist on judging us by the highest standard we know.   So we sometimes call it God’s voice in the soul, and in a sense it is.   

     Paul says that God has written a certain knowledge of His laws  on every human heart [Rom. 2:14-15], and experience confirms this.  But  conscience can be misinformed, or conditioned to regard evil as good,  or become seared and dull through repeated sin [1 Tim. 4:2].  The  judgments of conscience are only to be received as God’s voice when they  match God’s own truth and law in Scripture.  The conscience must be  educated to judge scripturaly.

Also, I’m needing to mention developmental trauma and learning something new, switching content and context frequently!!

Trauma is an emotional response to a terrible  event: accident, rape, or ongoing abuse [learning with trauma]. Immediately after the  event, shock, and denial are typical. Longer term reactions include  unpredictable emotions, flashbacks, strained relationships, and even  physical symptoms like headaches or nausea. A new study in Biological Psychiatry: Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging  has used functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to examine the  effects of acute stress and “polyvictimization,” or repeated traumas, on  three brain networks in adolescents. Findings: Stress and trauma during adolescence can lead to long-term  health consequences such as psychiatric disorders, which may arise from  neurodevelopmental effects on brain circuitry. Specifically, the mental body is anger brain dominant and perceives in the heart everything related to learning with anger. The emotional body is shame brain dominant and perceives in the heart everything related to learning with shame. According to my good friend, Tom Heintz (An Emotional Code Practitioner-Creator of The Body Code) references Christine H., MS, LMHC (Hammond 2018), ‘Anxiety [anger and shame] is one emotion that can be passed down from one generation to the next. Also, there are 10 emotions that can also be inherited through family trauma, parental modeling, and/or abusive behaviors.’ For those who struggle with sensory triggers and learning stressors, like when experiencing reading or writing, these negatively perceived and filtered experiences with anger and shame, can cause a trauma type of developmental anxiety and sometimes even depression. In  a study by conducted by Dahle et al. (2011), they found “between 17%  and 24% of the boys with dyslexia were registered as anxious/depressed,  with withdrawn behavior or somatic problems in the borderline and  clinical areas” (p. 167). Another interesting point noted in this study  by Undheim (as cited by Dahle et al., 2011) is that “teachers did not  believe that they had dyslexia because their general achievement was too  good” (p. 167).  Dahle et al. (2011) tells us “behavior and emotional  problems can be displayed differently in different settings, and it  might be difficult for teachers to identify and be aware of  internalizing problems in the classroom setting” (p. 168).  [Retrieved from Dahle, A. Journal of Research in  Special Educational Needs, 11(3), 162–170.]  In 2018, I created My ELBERT Responsive System Dysfunction (RSD) Checklist, which is a Functional System Dominance Checklist. I have found in over 4 dozen students what I always knew; that they develop anger first, if not given a healthy, safe, and supportive environment for their anger. Also, anger can develop into shame. Then, the shame will be more dominant.

Therefore,  My ELBERT program has a Learning Uniquinessess checklist and resources are important for those working with neurodifferences because shame is harder to address than anger. Shame is the defense for anger and survival (see Maslow Image 2.0a below) of some people before the point of safety. Some people though are less susceptible to shame and remain in anger. I have found more times than not where just anger has been marked; especially in younger students. Note: if anger and shame are not addressed at a young age, it can turn into hatred and grief. Also, anger appears anxiously (hyperarousal) and shame appears sadly depressed (hypoarousal) and both being varied arousal. Together with both anger and shame, someone can appear anxious and sad. With shame being the hardest, their body may appear calm but internally their mind can be ruminating on negative thoughts, feelings, ideas, and emotions which can be hard to know unless your child shares them with someone. This is why the checklist and interview is so important. I interview the students and their parents (teachers too preferably) where an [x] means most of the time in their learning environment and a [/] means some time in their learning environment (see image 1.0).

There are several other factors for successfully expelling learning apathy such as with gaining resilience (meaning), and motivation such as: sleep, diet, health and wellness, physical activity (body), regulation of vagus nerve (soul- body connection), sometimes even the spirit-soul-body connection (much older teens), gratitude including love of self and others (heart-connection). Also, the environment that most of us live in today causing sensory overload along to consistently multitasking and/or content & context-switching (handling 2 or more tasks at the same time) especially in this complex, non-connected (yet, connected), neurotoxic and EMF toxic infused environment- ALL decreasing our very own electromagnetism and vagal tone; all very much causing chaos in the mind.

What is the butterfly effect in simple terms? A property of chaotic systems  (such as the learning atmosphere & the mind) by which small changes in initial conditions  can lead to large-scale and unpredictable variation in the future state  of the system. The field of study of chaos has its roots in differential equations and dynamical systems, the very language that is used to describe how any physical system evolves in the real world. The story of chaos is step by step, from simple non-chaotic systems, to different types of attractors, to fractal spaces and the language of unpredictability.  The deterministic nature of these systems does not make them predictable.[8][9] This behavior is known as deterministic chaos, or simply chaos.  In these cases, while it is often the most practically significant  property, “sensitivity to initial conditions” need not be stated in the  definition. Note: The nuerodivergent thinking is not real linear-actually considered non-linear, as well, not being 1-3D but somewhere between. Through equanimity (delight calm) and the right tools (google: visual-graphic organizers) it can become linear, but not in the sense most are used to. The neurodivergent are completely different paths and none being the same. So ask yourself, having choas in the mind a good or bad thing even though the body, mind, spirit may suffer for the neurodiverse? Is suffering good or bad?  How many have a neurodiveregncy? Likewise, the neurodivergent have inattentional daydreaming—–a pleasant visionary usually wishful creation of the imagination through inspiration of some kind. As Jonathan Cahn  (2016) ‎states, “there are no accidents. If we go deeper, we find something beautiful.”

Corpus Callosum- Crown Chakra (energy center)

Corpus callosum (as well see thalamus above)- links both hemispheres and to varying degrees. Hence, students might have a lateral cognitive dominance of the functioning system- the students with the right-hemisphere dominance have Parasympathetic Functional System Dominance (PFD) and might have dysphonetic dyslexia because language and analysis (break down category and sequencing) which is a left-hemisphere task: therefore, students with right-hemisphere dominance might have high functioning autism, can have language deficits such as dsyphonetic (auditory) dyslexia.

The vagus nerve- is one of the cranial nerves that connect the brain to the body. More specifically, it’s the connection between the brain and the gastrointestinal tract. Likewise, the vagus nerve has two bunches of sensory nerve cell bodies, and it connects the brainstem to the body and vagal nerves carry somatic and visceral afferents that can alter the activity of the brainstem at the point of the reticular activation centers (RAS). Remember the CAN: RAS & ACC (shame)/HPA (anger) also allows the brain to monitor and receive information about several of the body’s different functions and matters of the mind including the perceptions and filters of the parasympathetic (shame), sympathetic (anger) & total (anger/shame) response system during stress such as reading. When you activate the chakras (energy centers-wheels, major 8 and soma/alta major- HPA (anger)/ACC(shame)) and normalize, balance the vagal tone and electromagnetic field, it will stop the “epigenome” which are again the collection of chemicals markers (focus: inherently dyslexia). This interruption allows the body to then calm, be healthy, resilient, gain positive attitudes (joy, bliss, and happiness) and make learning more pleasurable and effective; therefore, also the Reticular Activating System (RAS) needs to be activated via the vagus nerve (thymus- vagus nerve chakra).

The ascending reticular activating system (ARAS-THYMUS, & PONS, RAS (HPA & ACC) /GUT,- chakras 13+) itself is on the cerebral cortex and is responsible for the achievement of super consciousness (higher transpersonal self) . Note: The ARAS doesn’t fully develop in the brain until variably, around the ages 21–24 years old (Fowler, J.W. 1998). Jamieson, Mendes, Blackstock, and Schmader (2009) studies demonstrate instructions for the other group of students stated that people often feel anxiety during test taking but did not suggest how to reinterpret this experience. The results of this manipulation were striking. Students who were told how to “reappraise” the feelings they experienced during the test had significantly better performance on the math section of the practice GRE in the laboratory compared to students who were not told how to interpret their anxiety. Knowing how to reappraise or reinterpret the arousal experienced during testing appears to have had a dramatic effect on performance.30

 However, the processes are also “top down” because the amygdala depends on input from the cerebral cortex to  evaluate  information  as  threatening  or  benign.  As  this  example  of  bi-directionality  in  the  nervous  system  suggests,  emotion  and  cognition  are  so  intertwined  that  disentangling  them  is  rarely  practical  or  useful. 28

For Language, in the human brain, processes speech sounds and interconnects auditory  cortex with frontal lobe regions important for language. Although only  humans have speech and language, the link via the auditory pathway in  other primates suggests an evolutionary basis in auditory cognition and  vocal communication. According to findings, the different parts of the inferior parietal lobe (IPL)  specialize  in different cognitive functions – such as attention, language, and  social cognition, with the latter reflecting the ability for perspective  taking. Inferior Parietal Lobe The inferior parietal lobe is a posterior region of the brain that is most well-known for its role in visuospatial processing. [Retrieved from;];].

Also, Note: The left and right side of the cortex are not equally thick in younger  brains – a phenomenon called “cortical asymmetry”. Asymmetry is  seemingly a good thing, as it allows the brain to function optimally, as  the left and right brain are specialized to do slightly different jobs. The researchers found cortical asymmetry is lost as we age, proving that  the two sides of the brain deteriorate at different rates. In the exact  same brain regions as in normal aging, they found the left side of the  brain shrinks faster in Alzheimer’s disease.  [Retrieved from].

Unilateral Neglect (or Hemispatial Neglect)/Total Functioning System Dominance (TFD)- student might have high-functioning autism along with other learning differences (below). Someone prominent in right-brain (ACC) has an unawareness of objects to one side of the body or personal space. In severe cases, a side can be completely ignored when carrying out certain tasks and everyday functions such as writing, so may have dysgraphia. But another important brain function is controlled by either the right side of your brain or the left side of your brain, depending on your handedness.

Sympathetic Functioning System Dominance (SFD) student has total (see below) or left corpus callosum dysfunction then having a total right or left-lateral hemisphere dominance (HPA), evaluation (specifically color, shape, size & dimension) is a right-hemisphere task; those with a Sympathetic Functioning System Dominance (SFD) therefore, might have autism, Irlen Syndrome, and dsyeidetic (visual) dyslexia.

Unilateral Neglect (or Hemispatial Neglect)/Total Functioning System Dominance (TFD)- students might have autism (lower functioning) along with other learning differences (below). Someone with dominant frontal lobe or the (left) dominant temporal lobe (SFD) can cause a condition called aphasia, which is a serious disturbance of speech and communication.

Functional Disconnection/ Complete Functioning System Dominance  Syndrome when the short-term memory aka “working memory” is not equalized, then the information being led by the Corpus Colosseum to the frontal lobe for executive functioning becomes deficient- when in adults hatred and grief are involved. Whether the Corpus Colosseum is underdeveloped or deficient in its development for example: there can be blockage, protein folding, insufficient synapse development (premature pruning), poor fluid to transfer synapse message, etc. Also, if the Corpus Colosseum, the “short term memory” is compromised this is also known as Mixed Brain Dominance or dysphasia and forms of autism.

The Cinguate Gyrus (CAN)- is a large arch-like lobe in the center of the inner brain that is a part of the limbic system; it houses the organs and their interactions constitute the Anterior Cingulate Cortex (ACC-shame) and the main function of this area of the brain functions to process conscious emotional experience and the parasympathetic nervous system (right side). The ACC plays an important part of conscious reappraisal of emotions such as shame/empathy and anger/strength for the ARAS (Super conscious). Note: The amygdala, bulb at bottom not shown in pic.., is where The Cinguate Gyrus (CAN) first receives perceptions from the mind via the thymus, via the peripheral cranial/CNS nerves, then onto the ACC. A hyper-, hypo- amygdala works harder and the VACC can get dysregulated (shame mainly). Mind You Again: The Mind & Identify “Why” the Emotions doing  PYAM (Prayer, Yoga, Affirmations & Mediations)

“Ephphatha, Prayer”: Long Version: Includes ARAS w/ PHB and ASN (Always Surely Need) In Unity With The Trinity HERE With just a Sympathetic Functional System Dominance (SFD), they perceive in the mind everything with anger during stressful experiences. When they have a Parasympathetic Functional System Dominance (PFD), in the mind, they filter and attune themselves to everything with shame. When we have both anger and shame in the mind (see  child sample above), this is called a Total Learning System Dysfunction  (TLSD) which creates: this creates almost complete soul-body disconnect  (dysregulation) due to constant learning aka cognitive speed shifting  (hyper-. hypo-, and varied) which tires out the brain’s (RAS)  Rectangular Activation System (chakras 6-8th including soma and  alta-major chakras), Pons (crown chakra), and Thymus (vagus nerve  chakra) much quicker than the aligned and balanced learning brain and  body which, in turn, lessens neuroplasticity. When our very own DNA  generationally predispositions with dysfunctions of the Rectangular  Activation System, Pons, and Thymus and for learning differences (anger  and shame predispositions), ALL our systems and senses can have any dysfunctions, and therefore, we can actually have body-soul disconnection in the mind!

 To Give- δίδωμι  (Strong’s #1325 — Verb — didomi — did’-o-mee ) “to give,” is rendered “bestow” in 1 John 3:1 , the implied idea being  that of giving freely. The AV has it in 2 Corinthians 8:1; the RV  adheres to the lit. rendering, “the grace of God which hath been given  in the churches of Macedonia.” See ADVENTURE and especially GIVE.

Mind you again, learning apathy is complicated and that the spirit-soul-body/connection-trust-love disconnection causes  maladjustment and belonging in this world. Don’t worry, our spirit,  soul, and body connection can also be complicated to a point, if we  understand that we are love and not meant for fear. Think about it this  way, when your child has a Hypo or Hyper, Total Responsive System  Dysfunction (TRSD), their learning decreases due to disconnections to  others-themselves, soul-body disconnection of consciousness, perceptions  of anger/shame along with assimilation (meaning and motivation) of those perceptions. Sadly, the students who have TRSD dysfunctions, they  can become labelled Learning Disabled amongst other labels. Therefore,  they are not learning effectively, cognitively, or behaviorally on a  conscious level nor helped in a way that is revolutionary nor effective. There’s always hope and faith in their spiritual growth by  doing PYAM (Prayer, Yoga, Affirmations & Mediations)…

  • Soul-body connection of consciousness is a spirit Salvation brings Joy, Peace & Hope (no longer partially or fully spiritual “dead”)
  • Spirit soul-body connection of super consciousness of  Peace, Authority, Absolute is a mature spirit of Eternal Life brings Bliss,  Rejoice, Harmony, & Thanksgiving

People with a neurodifference (approx. 23% of population) learn from Pathos to Ethose All “Typical” People Learn Ethos to Pathos——–but there’s a missing third component for ALL LEARNING FOR EVERYONE The Authentic Self (thymus):

Joined- ψωμίζω  (Strong’s #5595 — Verb — psomizo — pso-mid’-zo ) primarily “to feed by putting little bits into the mouths of infants or  animals,” came to denote simply “to give out food, to feed,” and is  rendered by the phrase “bestow … to feed” in 1 Corinthians 13:3;  “feed,” Romans 12:20; there the person to be fed is mentioned; in 1  Corinthians 13:3 the material to be given is specified, and the  rendering “bestow … to feed”

  • The ETHOS-  “the what” is the  RAS= HPA & ACC (body & brain= brain stem) processing side and short-term memory- it’s the present and the arousal of the limbic cortex such as:  ACC- amygdala, and the hippocampus. It is where our dreams come into our reality and then onto fruition, need healing to have grace and mercy and shame or fear can prohibit. Correlated with chakras 6–8th so needing empathy.

(PONS) The Heart & Breath of Holy Ghost (4-6th chakras)= Ministry of The Spirit

  • The PATHOS- “the why”  is the Pons (body & mind = midbrain) which is a small part of the brain above the pons that integrates sensory information and relays it upward (RAS). Similar to the RAS, it is responsible for arousal (hyper-, hypo-, and varied) and plays a role in mood. In terms of long–term physiological changes, it is also associated with long-term memory- it’s the past and the future. This is also where dreams are centered based on our thymus and what we focus on or need healing to become pure and blameless. It is where our dreams come into our reality and then onto fruition, and grief and hatred can prohibit. Correlated with chakras 1st-8th so needing courage and compassion.

(THYMUS- “The Leb”) The Mind & Soul-Spirit Connection of God  (7-12th chakras)= Peace From God 

  • THE Authentic Self (the true question/answer) is the Thymus (high heart & mind= soul) a connection of perception between all affective and behavioral cognitive experiences on a cellular level (cellular memory) including the mainstream universal emotions of anger, strength, joy, bliss, shame, empathy, courage, compassion, might, and harmony and relays it upward (PONS). It’s also where you can find the “imagination”  and “intelligence” that lies within all of us of God’s Will. It’s removed veil and divine nature “God’s Divine Nature” With-In Ourselves (described here). This is where the God’s mind creates our purpose by filtering, interpreting our world and experiences which in turn creates our dreams into reality of miracles and blessings and Nothing Can Prohibit IF RECEIVED GOD. Vagus Nerve & RAS Vibrating Alta Major Chakra (*aka God Awareness Chakra)

The Reticular Activating System (RAS)- Ras/ HPA & ACC/Gut – to know, perceive, recognize, have, aware, cognizant, do laugh, reverence, ask, repent, reconciliation which is a network of neurons (hyper-, hypo-, or, varied) located in the brain stem that project anteriorly to the hypothalmus to mediate behavior such as sleep, memory, and learning; as well as, both posteriorly to the and directly to the cortex for activation of awake, desynchronized cortical EEG patterns. The reticular formation (part of pons-see below) is a set of interconnected nuclei that are  located throughout the brain stem. It is not anatomically well-defined,  because it includes neurons located in different parts of the brain. The  neurons of the reticular formation make up a complex set of networks in  the core of the brain stem that extend from the upper part of the  midbrain to the lower part of the medulla oblongata. The reticular  formation includes ascending pathways to the cortex in the ascending  reticular activating system and descending pathways to the spinal cord  via the reticulospinal tracts. [2]  It is holistically and spiritually known from being a center “where we can create our own reality” whether positive, negative, or neutral. Knowing: What we focus on in our mind (thymus), pons (dream center) then comes to fruition here in our RAS. The gut consist of 75% of our immune system, and the microbiome refers to the collective  genomes of the micro-organisms in a particular environment, and  microbiota is the community of micro-organisms themselves (box 1).  Approximately 100 trillion micro-organisms (most of them bacteria, but  also viruses, fungi, and protozoa) exist in the human gastrointestinal  tract12—the  microbiome is now best thought of as a virtual organ of the body. The pons is part of the brainstem that in humans and other bipeds lies  inferior to the midbrain, superior to the medulla oblongata and anterior  to the cerebellum. [1]  The pons integrates both the medulla oblongata and the thalamus (NOTE:  the importance of conscious reappraisal of emotions (emotional  reappraisal) such as shame/empathy and anger/strength for the ARAS).  In the thalamus, students can have a slow (hypo-), accelerated (hyper-) or varied processing, and they have a problem with sensory integration disorders (corollary discharge) and emotional intensity or insensitivity with their neurodifference. The Pons, like the RAS, is responsible for arousal (hyper-, hypo- and varied). A team of researchers from Forschungszentrum Jülich,  Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf and Ernst-von-Bergmann Klinikum  Potsdam analyzed the changes of brain volumes in 37 Parkinson’s patients  and 27 controls at up to 15 time points over up to 8.8 years using  magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The level of dopamine in the brain may have an impact on  emotional recognition in those with Parkinson’s disease and  schizophrenia, a new study reports. Emotion  recognition among people with disorders such as Parkinson’s disease or  schizophrenia may be affected by changes in the levels of dopamine in  the brain, say researchers at the University of Birmingham. Dopamine  is a chemical messenger – often known as the ‘happy hormone’ – that  carries signals controlling mental and emotional responses in the brain. Parkinson’s  disease and other neurological disorders are known for their links with  low or disrupted dopamine levels that cause those affected to struggle  with a number of social skills. This is the first time, however, that a  positive connection has been made between dopamine and the ability to  recognize emotions in others. [Retrieved from].

As well, researchers have designed a new method of  converting non-neural cells into functioning neurons that are able to  form synapses, dispense dopamine, and restore the function of neurons  undermined by Parkinson’s associated destruction of dopaminergic cells. [Retrieved from]. As well,  exercise even improves motor behavior in people with Parkinson’s disease, but the exact mechanism is not known. Linguists are interested in language for its own sake, as a complex  product of the human mind. They are also interested in how language  develops in children, how it changes over time, and how it is used in  human society. Furthermore, Neuroscientist Suzana Herculano-Houzel has pointed out that our brains are different because of the number of neurons packed into our skulls — it’s less about the size of our brains. Brodmann areas of the cerebral cortex are based on the types of neurons  and connections that typically found each region. For Dyslexia this includes the left hemisphere language zones of their brain, (ie  anatomic regions called Superior Temporal Gyrus, Angular Gyrus and  Supramarginal gyrus, Broca’s region). There are 52  Brodmann  regions, covering the primary somatosensory cortex, primary motor  cortex, somatosensory association cortex, premotor and supplementary  motor cortex, dorsolateral/anterior prefrontal cortex, anterior  prefrontal cortex, and primary visual and audio cortexes, plus  additional areas. BA18 of Brodmann (human) refers to a subdivision of the cytoarchitecturally defined occipital region of cerebral cortex. In the human it is located in parts of the cuneus, the lingual gyrus and the middle occipital gyrus of the occipital lobe. Brodmann area 22 is cytoarchitecturally located in the posterior superior temporal gyrus of the brain. In the left cerebral hemisphere, it is one portion of Wernicke’s area. The prefrontal cortex contains Brodmann areas  is thought to be involved in psychological functions such as executive  tasks, attention, and memory. This Research Topic, since they are the most rostral, and might be  involved in more elementary computations as compared to, say, BA46,  which is clearly involved in working memory. Also, Brodmann area 10 (BA10, frontopolar prefrontal cortex, rostrolateral prefrontal cortex, or anterior prefrontal cortex, the  area is “described as “one of the least well-understood regions of the human brain”.[2] Ronel (2018) conducted a similar analysis for ADHD, in terms of 4 types  of selection/inhibition (lateral BA 8 – motor selection/inhibition;  lateral BA 9 – emotion selection/inhibition; lateral BA 10 – memory  selection/inhibition; lateral BA 11 – sensory selection/inhibition).  ‘T  cells are critical to the adaptive immune system’: Stopping Inflamation and Even Damage

The collaboration between Professor Adrian Liston (Babraham Institute)  and Professor Matthew Holt (VIB and KU Leuven; i3S-University of Porto)  has produced a targeted delivery system for boosting the numbers of  specialized anti-inflammatory immune cells specifically within the brain  to restrict brain inflammation and damage. The research team found that regulatory T cell numbers were low in  the brain because of a limited supply of the crucial survival molecule  interleukin 2, also known as IL2. Levels of IL2 are low in the brain  compared to the rest of the body as it can’t pass the blood-brain  barrier. Together the team devised a new therapeutic approach that  allows more IL2 to be made by brain cells, thereby creating the  conditions needed by regulatory T cells to survive. A ‘gene delivery’  system based on an engineered adeno-associated viral vector (AAV) was  used: this system can actually cross an intact blood brain barrier and  deliver the DNA needed for the brain to produce more IL2 production. The  immune system may play a fundamental role along with the central  nervous system in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as  “Lou Gehrig’s disease,” Mount Sinai researchers report. Researchers discovered both immune system and central nervous  system dysfunction in animal models and people with ALS4, a genetic,  juvenile, and slow-progressing form of ALS. Further evidence of immune system involvement, she adds, was detected in  the high concentration of CD8 T cells—which are usually involved in the  destruction of tumors and cells in the body that harbor pathogens—in  the spinal cord and peripheral blood of ALS4 mice and patients. Those  increased CD8 T cell populations, known as TEMRA (terminally  differentiated effector memory), correlate with ALS4 disease  progression. “Our discovery of a link between the immune and central nervous systems  in ALS4 disease has immediate implications for other types of ALS, other  neurodegenerative disorders, and for cancer,” said Dr. Marazzi. Thymus (12th chakra and all chakras, high heart & mind, inward man)-Upper or Higher Heart Chakra (*aka God Unity Chakra, Ascension Chakra, Vagus Nerve Chakra). It is the “one” umpire known as the mind. Thymus- to be, have, belong, remain, imagine living in love (wisdom, curiosity, “intellect”, connect)-It is known as “the seat of the soul”, and our Higher Intelligence & Imagination or “The Mind”- for the fact that it: holds a record of traumatic or painful events, dimensional to the subliminal content (see intelligence model below) and ancestral narration (see imagination).   High Heart Chakra, also called the ascended heart chakra, is connected with an organ: the thymus gland which before birth and throughout childhood (largest in the teen years-dormant at 50 years old). The thymus is a specialized primary  lymphoid organ of the immune  system. Within the thymus, thymus cell lymphocytes or T cells mature. T  cells are critical to the adaptive immune system (also see RAS-GUT), where the body adapts  specifically to foreign invaders. The thymus is located in the  upper  front part of the chest, in the anterior superior mediastinum, behind  the sternum, and in front of the heart. It is made up of two lobes, each  consisting of a central medulla and an outer cortex, surrounded by a  capsule. [2] The thymus is instrumental in the production and maturation of T-lymphocytes or T cells, a specific type of white blood cell that protects the body from certain threats, including viruses and infections; It plays a role in immunity, autoimmunity, and aging (it’s basically our twin flame and fountain of youth). The Thymus and High Heart & Gut Relation

This is the same as when the physical  body is disconnected from the Soul, the conscious mind does not  remember her (cannot feel the soul). When our Heart is healed, there is a fire that is ignited inside the  Heart that is accessed, and the fire in the Heart is also in the  Kidneys. There is a triangle that connects the Heart into the Kidneys.  The Kidneys are in the base of the triangle from left to right and the  point of the triangle is in the Heart. When the Heart is healed, there  is a twin flame ignition in our Heart and Kidneys, which shifts the  Heart configuration. Twin flames equals structure of light within the  Heart. So two flames ignite in the Heart. The Monad  is the greater flame and the physical body is the lesser flame. Very Important Study

University  at Buffalo scientists have discovered a convergent mechanism that may  be responsible for how two top-ranked genetic risk factors for autism  spectrum disorder/intellectual disability (ASD/ID) lead to these  neurodevelopmental disorders. Mutations in the ASD/intellectual disability genes ADNP and POGZ  result in abnormal activation and overexpression of immune response  genes and genes for microglia. This results in abnormal brain synaptic  function, characteristic of ASD and ID. The research involved studies on postmortem brain tissue from humans  with ASD/ID, as well as studies on mice in which ADNP and POGZ were  silenced through viral delivery of small interference RNA. These mice exhibited impaired cognitive task performance, such as  spatial memory, object recognition memory and long-term memory. The mutated genes also activate the glial cells in the brain called  microglia, which serve as support cells for neurons and have an immune  function in the brain; they comprise 10-15% of all brain cells.

“Under normal conditions, cells in the central nervous system should  not express large quantities of genes that activate the immune system,”  said Conrow-Graham.

“ADNP and POGZ both work to repress these  genes so that inflammatory pathways are not continuously activated,  which could damage surrounding cells. When that repression is weakened,  these immune and inflammatory genes are then able to be expressed in  large quantities.”

The upregulated genes in the mouse prefrontal cortex caused by the  deficiencies in ADNP or POGZ activated the pro-inflammatory response.

Thymus Ancient Extracellular Signaling Molecule Matrix (ECM)

The thymus includes ancient  extracellular signalling  molecules which are cues, such as growth factors, hormones, cytokines,  extracellular matrix components and neurotransmitters, designed to transmit specific information to target cells. Increasing knowledge about the roles of extracellular matrix and its components in the nervous system development and disease is important  from the therapeutic viewpoint. Activation of signaling cascades  underlying reorganization of the extracellular matrix and stimulation of  neuronal plasticity is an achievable goal and a promising approach for  treatment of acute and chronic neurodegenerative disorders. Recent data  suggest that extracellular matrix proteases modifying cell recognition  molecules on the neuronal surface, modulate synaptogenesis and  plasticity during development and neurorepair. A new study reveals how adipocytes, or fat cells, play a role in  cognitive decline and increased neurodegeneration risks. Using  genetically modified mouse models, researchers found oxidative stress  through exposure to a Western diet increased the production of  inflammatory cytokines confined to adipocytes and altered protein  markers of memory and cognition in the hippocampus. As well, sympathetic [Anger] innervation of the thymus originates from the superior  cervical and stellate ganglion. These fibers travel in a plexus along  large blood vessels until they enter the thymic capsule. Parasympathetic  fibers  [Shame]  arise from the vagus, recurrent laryngeal, and phrenic nerves.  Several rodent studies have found that thymocytes respond to stimuli via  norepinephrine, dopamine, acetylcholine, neuropeptide Y, vasoactive  intestinal peptide, calcitonin gene-related peptide, and substance P.[2][6][2] [Retrieved from].

Research on the molecular and cellular basis of learning and memory has  focused on the mechanisms that underlie the induction and expression of  synaptic plasticity. The Thymus aka Leb, Lebab Cont.

The Leb is “The Veil”, of the five senses, also what enters the body, and absolutely essential for physical life and  health, so too a healthy spiritual heart mind (intellect- what is right), emotion (moral-what is good), will (imagination- what is best) is at the center of one’s inner being (soul)  is vital for a healthy  soul, serving as the “fountain” of all moral attitudes and actions. The invisible realm of the spirit is as real as the visible world. In  fact, the Scripture tells us that it is even more real (Hebrews 11:3).  And just as God gave us five natural senses to interact with the  physical world, He gave us five spiritual senses to connect with the  supernatural world. The Leb- high heart, mind and “the gut” which is the bodily organ by means of which the raw data of experience is shaped into thoughts, concepts, or judgments.

-Are you someone who is trying to do what is “right”…goes by own perceptions?

-Are you someone always trying to do “good”…goes by feeling?

-Are you someone just doing “your best”…lives by God’s intuitions (God’s perceptions-His Identity & Statutes)?

The puritan, John Flavel said, it’s light of the understanding, recognitions of the memory, seat of principles and the fountain of actions. John MacArthur – The “heart” commonly refers to the mind as the center of thinking and reason (Pr 3:36:21;7:3), but also includes the emotions (Pr 15:1530), the will (Pr 11:2014:14), and thus, the whole inner being (Pr 3:5). The “Leb” aka heart and mind carries along several other organs of the body (cf. ear and eyes already in Pr 4:2021) mentioned frequently in wisdom instruction: mouth, lips, and eyes (parallel to “eyelids” or “orbs” in Pr 4:25), mouth, lips, and even the foot and hand. The heart is the depository of all wisdom and the source of whatever affects speech (Pr 4:24), sight (Pr 4:25), and conduct (Pr 4:2627).

This love is unmerited love, hence its more specific name of χάρις;  ‘grace.’ It is love,’ not mere ‘mercy’ or ‘pity,’ which determines  God’s attitude towards the sinner. The mercy is enriched by the love (Ephesians 2:4). The usual associations of ἀγαπᾶν  apply to the love of God for sinners only in so far as it is a  deliberate movement of the Divine will and purpose, not because there is  something admirable or attractive in the spiritual and ethical  condition of man which would explain its origin.

Breathing is a vital behavior that is particularly amenable to  experimental investigation. We review recent progress on three problems  of broad interest. (i) Where and how is respiratory rhythm  generated? The preBötzinger Complex is a critical site, whereas  pacemaker neurons may not be essential. The possibility that coupled  oscillators are involved is considered. (ii) What are the  mechanisms that underlie the plasticity necessary for adaptive changes  in breathing? Serotonin-dependent long-term facilitation following  intermittent hypoxia is an important example of such plasticity, and a  model that can account for this adaptive behavior is discussed. Sincerely (truly, earnestly, or fervently) idled person will spend the day away loaf suggests either resting, reflective time in nature, listening to God, or wandering  about as though there were nothing to do. EFFECTUAL PRAYER B — 1: ἐνεργέω  (Strong’s #1754 — Verb — energeo — en-erg-eh’-o ) “to put forth power, be operative, to work” (its usual meaning), is  rendered by the verb “to work effectually,” or “to be effectual,” in the  AV of 2 Corinthians 1:6; Galatians 2:8; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; in each  case the RV translates it by the simple verb “to work” (past tense,  “wrought”). THE AUDITORY BRAINSTEM RESPONSE (ABR) & MEASURES OF PH IN THE BLOOD: EVALUATES RISK FACTORS FOR HEARING LOSS. This (1980) found fourteen of 100 unselected patients in an Intensive care nursery were  found by the auditory brainstem evoked response (ABR) method to suffer  significant hearing loss; of these 8 were ultimately discharged home.  Analysis of the 100 clinical records identified 9 risk factors of which  most, like low Apgar scores, are already known (Table I). However,  neonatal asphyxia appeared to be associated with hearing loss only when  repeated episodes of acidosis accompanied it (Table III). We conclude  that the ABR readily identifies the hard-of-hearing premature and  estimates the type and amount of his peripheral hearing loss, and that  physiological events associated with prolonged perfusion of the cochlea  with blood low in pH may be the most common cause of hearing disorder in  this group. What makes a PH level to be considered healthy? Think about other diversities? See THYMUS (high heart)-ARAS (thymus, pons, RAS/HPA & ACC): adrenal glands, also known as suprarenal glands, are small, triangular-shaped glands located on top of both kidneys.

A normal blood pH level is 7.35 to 7.45 on a scale of 0 to 14,  where 0 is the most acidic and 14 is the most basic. This value can  vary slightly in either direction. If the lungs or kidneys are  malfunctioning, your blood’s pH level can become imbalanced. Intracellular pH (pHi) regulation in the brain is important in both physiological and physiopathological conditions because changes in pHi generally result in altered neuronal excitability. In this review, we will cover 4 major areas: (1) The effect of pHi on cellular processes in the brain, including channel activity and neuronal excitability. (2) pHi homeostasis and how it is determined by the balance between rates of acid loading (JL) and extrusion (JE). The balance between JE and JL determine steady-state pHi, as well as the ability of the cell to defend pHi  in the face of extracellular acid-base disturbances (e.g., metabolic  acidosis). (3) The properties and importance of members of the SLC4 and  SLC9 families of acid-base transporters expressed in the brain that  contribute to JL (namely the Cl-HCO3 exchanger AE3) and JE (the Na-H exchangers NHE1, NHE3, and NHE5 as well as the Na+- coupled HCO3−  transporters NBCe1, NBCn1, NDCBE, and NBCn2). Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) include fatigue, even with too much sleep, and weight gain  associated with overeating and carbohydrate cravings. SAD may begin at any age, but it typically starts when a person is between ages 18 and 30. SAD symptoms can  vary from mild to severe and can include many symptoms similar to major. [See here-

PTSD- Many advances in science have been made in the last decade to better  explain the pathogenesis of PTSD. Advances in the brain imaging method  have allowed us to study changes in patients’ brains in a non-invasive  way. Recent studies have observed the activity or morphology changes of  several brain regions in patients with PTSD, including the prefrontal  lobe, amygdala, hippocampus. However, it is still unclear how these  changes in brain regions are linked to PTSD. Further research needs to  be conducted to understand the function of brain regions during the  development of PTSD. Also, people can develop PTSD, depression, or both  as a result of a major traumatic event. The  hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis (HPA axis) may play an important  role in such a difference (see HPA and anger above). [Retrieved from].

Pathological Demand Avoidance of PDA is becoming more widely recognized as a distinct profile of autism. British psychologist Elizabeth Newson  came up with this term which describes an anxiety-driven need to be in  control and avoid other people’s demands and expectations. Demand avoidance in the PDA profile looks different from what others on  the autism spectrum experience because of its extreme nature and  obsessive quality. Research  done at the University of Newcastle in November 2016 found that  Intolerance of Uncertainty (IU) was also associated with PDA, in fact  even stronger than anxiety. [Retrieved from].

For many people, a traumatic experience can leave an indelible  impression on the brain in the form of post-traumatic stress disorder  (PTSD). PTSD is characterized by hyperarousal and avoidance of risky,  potentially aversive behaviors. [Retrieved from].

Deficient emotional self-regulation (DESR) is a relatively new term used  to describe the problem of impulsive emotion coupled with emotional  self-regulation difficulties — issues long associated with attention  deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD or ADD). DESR may be new to the  ADHD lexicon, however I argue that it is a core and commonly overlooked  component of the disorder — and one that can help predict a patient’s  impairments, and even improve diagnostic and treatment practices.1

Dysthymia- People  with untreated ADHD can suffer from dysthymia  — a mild but long-term  mood disorder or sadness. It is often brought  on by living with the  frustrations, failures, negative feedback, and  stresses of life due to  untreated or inadequately treated ADHD. Borderline Personality Disorder  (BPD)- What is also interesting is that ‘child maltreatment and efficiency of the conflict attention (Alerting, Orienting, and Executive Function Networks)  and their interactions of the networks along with their independently  predicted scores on the (BPD) precursors  composite. A study of human brain tissue suggests clinical depression reduces the quantity of astrocyte cells in key regions

Depression (major depressive disorder) is a common  and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the  way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable.  Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in  activities once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and  physical problems and can decrease a person’s ability to function at  work and at home. [Retrieved from]

In another study, they studied how loneliness is correlated with a higher risk of developing mental conditions. They studied how deterioration can occur in physical health, and is linked to  mortality and higher health care utilizationa combination of personality traits and childhood circumstances account for why some older people  experience loneliness more than others. Lonely adults over 50 were 1.24  times more likely to have rarely, or never, had comfortable friendships  during childhood, and 1.34 times more likely to have had poor  relationships with their mothers as children [think about impacts of learning with trauma…Retrieved from].

The gut microbiota forms part of a complex network termed the  microbiota-gut-brain axis along with the enteric nervous system,  sympathetic and parasympathetic divisions of the autonomic nervous  system, neuroendocrine and neuroimmune components the central nervous  system. The gut microbiota is associated with neuropsychiatric  disorder such as schizophrenia, autistic disorders, anxiety disorders,  major depression and bipolar disorder. Major depressive disorder is a stress-related mood disorder associated  with a disrupted HPA axis, and evidence suggests that the gut microbiota  play a key role in modulating depression. Bipolar disorder is a severe  psychiatric disorder with dysfunctions of neuroimmune system which also  suggest the brain-gut-microbiota axis is an important physiological  mechanism. Communication from gut to brain occurs through tryptophan,  an essential building block of serotonin. Serotonin is key in  regulating mood, eating, and sleep patterns. There is limited storage  capacity for tryptophan in the brain, and a constant supply is required  from the gut. It was once believed that tryptophan came strictly from  diet alone, but what research has shown is that gut microbiota,  particularly Bifidobacterium, produces tryptophan and increases its levels in the bloodstream. This study below has since been replicated, adding to global evidence linking  the microbiome-gut-brain axis to stress and mental health disorders. Low  diversity in the gut microbiota is now considered a significant  biomarker for major depressive disorder. Other mental health and  neurodegenerative disorders with significant microbiome-gut-brain ties  include: post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, Parkinson’s disease, and autism. The microbiome-gut-brain axis also plays a critical role in irritable bowel syndrome, and in understanding the link between mental health disorders and physical illness, such as depression or anxiety co-occurring with inflammatory bowel disease. Other NDD’s

Most people are unaware of the connection between dyslexia and ADD or ADHD. It has been estimated that between 30 – 60% of kids with dyslexia also have either ADD or ADHD.

“Challenges with processing emotions start  in the brain itself. Sometimes the working memory impairments of ADHD  allow a momentary emotion to become too strong, flooding the brain with  one intense emotion.” Thomas Brown, Ph.D.

Brain imaging studies demonstrate that  chemicals that activate reward-recognizing circuits in the brain tend to  bind on significantly fewer receptor sites in people with ADHD than do  those in a comparison group. People with ADHD are less able  to anticipate pleasure or register satisfaction with tasks for which the  payoff is delayed.

My interest is in helping parents and teachers to understand learning and behavioral challenges and to love learning again. I graduated from Auburn in ECE in 1998. I have been a Montessori teacher here in Birmingham for almost 12 years and have lived in Birmingham for the past 19 years. In 2012, I graduated from Secondary Education with a P-12 Reading Specialist certification the University of Alabama. As a Reading Specialist, I train on diversity and literacy development; I have a specialized knowledge of assessment and diagnosis that is vital for developing, implementing, and evaluating your literacy and neurodiversity behavioral, character development programing. Also, I have varying experiences designing instruction and environments for Montessori and Non-Montessori (OSR-Pre-K) environments. Therefore, I can consult for any environment or setting! In 2013, I attained my highly qualified status in ECE and Reading. In 2013, I also got my Orton-Gillingham AA tutor certification. I currently tutor full-time along with consulting. I have actually been tutoring since 2003. Along with other independent tutoring/interventionist experiences, I have brought dozens of students from an emergent to an advanced reading level! In addition to tutoring, I have provided the reading strengths and needs of my students and share that information to classroom teachers, parents, specialized teachers, and other stakeholders.  Lastly, I have also been a trainer/presenter, since 2008 and really enjoy this aspect of my career.
